Flat roofing in Chesham and across Buckinghamshire
High-performance GRP fiberglass, EPDM rubber, and torch-on felt systems for extensions, garages & dormers.
Our flat roofing service in Chesham
Flat roofs are brilliant when they’re done properly. They suit extensions, garages and dormers, they’re neat, and they make great use of space. The trouble is, when a flat roof starts to fail, it can go from “fine” to “soaked ceiling” surprisingly quickly — especially after a spell of heavy rain or a cold snap where water sits and finds a weak point.
At Southeast Roofing & Building, we provide flat roofing in Chesham and throughout Buckinghamshire, covering both flat roof repair and full flat roofing installation. We’ve got 10 years’ experience, all work is fully insured and guaranteed, and we’re proud of the reviews we’ve earned on Checkatrade and Google. If you need a practical fix or you’re planning a new flat roof that you don’t want to think about again for years, we’ll guide you through it properly.
We work on flat roofs of all shapes and sizes — from small garage roofs to larger extension roofs and dormers. Some need a straightforward repair, others are at end of life and need replacing. Either way, we’ll assess the roof and recommend the right option, not the most expensive one.
We’ll talk you through what’s best for your property, your budget, and how the roof is used (for example, whether it’s purely weatherproofing or if it gets occasional foot traffic for access).
Our flat roofing work typically covers:
Areas we cover
We’re based around Chesham and work across Buckinghamshire day in, day out. That includes nearby places such as Amersham, Great Missenden, Wendover, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, and the surrounding villages. If you’re just outside these areas, it’s still worth getting in touch — chances are we’re working nearby already.
10 years’ experience on real roofs, not theory
Flat roofing is all about the details — edge trims, outlets, junctions and how the system is laid. With a decade in the trade, we know where flat roofs usually fail and how to avoid repeat problems.
Local knowledge that matters in Buckinghamshire weather
We’re working around Chesham and across Buckinghamshire week in, week out. Flat roofs in this area take a hammering in the wet months, and the biggest issue we see is water sitting where it shouldn’t. Getting the falls, drainage points and finishing details right makes all the difference.
Clear advice, honest recommendations
If your flat roof can be repaired, we’ll tell you. If it’s past it, we’ll explain why replacement is the better option — and what we’d do differently so you’re not dealing with the same issue again in a couple of winters.
Guaranteed, insured work with strong reviews
We’re fully insured and all work is guaranteed. Our reputation is backed up by genuine reviews on Checkatrade and Google.

It depends on the condition. Small splits, localised damage or failing trims can often be repaired. If the covering is brittle, heavily cracked, or failing across multiple areas, replacement is usually the smarter long-term option.
Both are solid systems when installed properly. EPDM is a flexible rubber membrane that’s widely used for extensions and garages. GRP creates a seamless fibreglass finish that’s very robust. We’ll recommend what suits the roof design and how it’s used.
If water is coming in, call us. We’ll advise you straight away and arrange a visit as soon as possible to prevent further damage.

Highly recommend. I had a stubborn roof leak that another local firm had expensively tried and failed to fix. Southeast diagnosed the problem thoroughly before quoting for repair - with videos and pictures identifying the source of the leak. During the repairs, the team were courteous and polite. And the leak has finally stopped 👍
