Roof Surveys in Chesham and Across Buckinghamshire
Comprehensive independent roof inspections with detailed explanations for buyers, sellers, and property owners.
Our Roof Survey Service in Chesham
Not every roof problem is obvious from the ground. Sometimes it’s a small leak that comes and goes, a damp patch that appears after a week of heavy rain, or a few tiles that look “slightly off” when you catch them in the sunlight. Other times, you might be buying a property and want to know what you’re taking on before you exchange.
A roof survey gives you clarity. At Southeast Roofing & Building, we carry out roof surveys in Chesham and across Buckinghamshire with a straightforward approach: we inspect the roof properly, explain what we find in plain English, and tell you what needs doing now — and what can wait.
With 10 years’ experience, excellent reviews on Checkatrade and Google, and all work guaranteed and insured, you’ll get honest advice you can rely on.
A roof survey is ideal when you want to understand the condition of a roof without guesswork. We’re often called out after recurring leaks, before planned work, or when someone’s had a “quick look” from another trade and still doesn’t feel confident about the answer.
If you’re dealing with a leak, we’ll focus on likely entry points and how water may be tracking before it shows inside. That’s often the difference between a lasting repair and throwing money at the wrong area.
Every property is different, but a typical survey will cover:
Areas We Cover
We’re based around Chesham and work across Buckinghamshire day in, day out. That includes nearby places such as Amersham, Great Missenden, Wendover, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, and the surrounding villages. If you’re just outside these areas, it’s still worth getting in touch — chances are we’re working nearby already.
10 Years’ Hands-On Roofing Experience
A good survey isn’t just “looking” — it’s knowing what to look for and what it usually leads to.
With a decade in roofing, we can spot early warning signs and explain them clearly, without turning everything into a big job.

We work on roofs across Chesham and Buckinghamshire every week, so we’re familiar with the mix of older properties, extensions, and modern roofs in the area.
We also know how quickly local weather can expose weak points — especially around chimneys, valleys and roof joins.

Highly recommend. I had a stubborn roof leak that another local firm had expensively tried and failed to fix. Southeast diagnosed the problem thoroughly before quoting for repair - with videos and pictures identifying the source of the leak. During the repairs, the team were courteous and polite. And the leak has finally stopped 👍
